  • Another 720p to 4K GigaPixel AI Demo

Just shot something quick a few hours ago. Wanted to show how awesome AI enhancement can be. On the left is the original 720p screenshot. On the right is the upscaled to 2160p (aka 4K) screenshot. Impressive as hell, innit? But pay close attention to what the AI got wrong. Notice the extra hair it generated on my palm and forehead. LOLOL. And the patches under by eyes are extremely ghoulish and exaggerated. But it was able to detect my chapped lips, so that’s incredible as hell.

Notice how the word “Michigan” doesn’t quite look right. But this is only for a few frames, so in motion it doesn’t matter at all. You wouldn’t even catch it. But a human would be able to figure it out. Otherwise, yes, very impressive.

  • SDXM 3D Game Engine Progress LOL

Getting very good performance. Confident will get 30fps when it’s ready to run. Right now it’s only chewing on “simple” graphics.

Solution: Laptop audio/video is slow, crackling, out of sync
    By Chongchen Saelee

If your laptop seemingly is slowing down in performance, you hear audio crackling, your video is sluggish and not synced with the audio, then make sure your laptop battery is in good condition. Odds are, your laptop is literally in its last breath of life, like literally only 10% health. Replace it with a brand new fully recharged laptop battery and see if this solves your problem! You’ll know your old battery is about to die if it is physically bloated. So time to throw it out and replace it. Hope that helps!

How To Download m3u8 videos from Twitter
    By Chongchen Saelee

If you’re browsing websites like Twitter or Facebook, you may notice videos may not be accessible for download. Back in the day, it was quite easy because the actual video file is embedded right into the page. These days, with privacy concerns (and copyright issues), Internet videos are becoming harder to “save for offline viewing”. But with a little know-how, you could successfully save these videos for offline viewing. After all, the data has to be sent to your computer anyway.

So particularly for m3u8 file format, which is just a plain text file that includes a playlist of urls to source videos (and sometimes other playlists), what you’re looking for are ts video source urls. Of course, you have to track down the url of the m3u8 file first. In Google Chrome, there is the very helplful “inspect” tool in the Developer Tools menu. Or, if it hasn’t been obfuscated, you can right-click on the part of the webpage where the video will render and click on “Inspect” if that option is enabled. Then you want to track down that url for the m3u8 file. Download the m3u8 file and open it with a plain text editor like Notepad. (more…)
