How To Spot Fiverr Buyer Who Is Scammer

How to Spot Fiverr Buyer Scammer

I’m at my wit’s end dealing with these asshole Fiverr Buyers. But I really suspect it’s the same asshole or group of people opening mulitple accounts under different names and fucking with me.

If you take a look at the back and forth for this order, I should have been suspicious from the start because the asshole buyer didn’t follow any instructions on the Order Page, just outright placed the order with nothing more than a link to a script. The script, of course, is for a full page comic, and he only paid $5 for the order, which is only for one panel, and a full comic page order consists of maximum of 6 panels. So, CLEARLY, something’s not right with this buyer already.

But, because I want to remain positive and an optimist that this is not the same clowns who have stolen $300+ from me through Fiverr, so I have to be polite and ask for more information.

You can look at the entire transcript how professional I approach it. I’m not rude. I’m not hostile. I don’t yell (in text anyway) at this very suspicious behaving buyer.

And then the Buyer accuses me of not providing the same quality of style artwork that I promise. And to make things worse, he references my OWN ARTWORK from my Fiverr portfolio. And when I deliver the SAME EXACT style and quality of artwork, he continues to antagonize me saying that I didn’t deliver the service as promised and that I was hostile.

Holy shit. This Fiverr Buyer is doing this on purpose.

So my suspicion is that this buyer is hired by Fiverr every pay cycle to harass or intimidate Sellers, either to steal from Seller’s Fiverr Wallet or exploit somekind of credit card chargeback fraud. It could be a person, or like I’ve suspected for a while, it’s a Fiverr Bot. Yes, there are bots that advanced.

So it’s happened to me before. It’s obviously the same people. Same style of speech, same patterns, same scam tactics.

I’m only writing this up now because this is more than 5 times being scammed by this “buyer”. And I’ve lost more than $300 so far because of this same shit.

What’s going to happen is this asshole Fiverr Buyer is going to keep marking the Order for Cancellation. He’s a bot or a very overzealous scammer, he’s got his eye on the cancellation timer that refreshes when there is no mutual cancellation between buyer and seller. When the order actually goes through the system and is marked completed, he’s going to pester Fiverr Customer Service with lies that I didn’t deliver the service as I promised or that I was hostile or make up any excuse to get the order cancelled.

So ultimately, as a result of this scammer (whether Fiverr is behind it or not), Customer Service ALWAYS manages to cancel the order and thus I get cheated out of my pay AGAIN.

So that’s just a warning to anyone doing business with Fiverr. I may be wrong that Fiverr is behind it, but the pattern is just happening EVERY GODDAMN PAY CYCLE, which leads me to suspect Fiverr may be behind it somehow.

So it has a sad ending. Odds are, in the next few days or weeks, this $55 gig is lost and this fucking scammer got away with it.

Just remember, Fiverr Sellers, if you have rules set up to deter these kinds of assholes, stick to your rules very strictly. Cancel any Buyer orders that don’t follow your rules RIGHT AWAY to avoid further bullshit.

And make sure you screen capture your Fiverr Wallet amount on a regular basis. I have a gut feeling Fiverr is somehow behind these scams. They only ever cheat you when you reach payout threshold.

It just goes to show that there is no Seller Protection on Fiverr. It benefits them more to support or simulate buyers because they pocket percentage of profits. There should be a “Accept Buyer Order” for Sellers so that they can avoid wasting so much time and getting scammed. But if Fiverr is behind this, they’re not going to implement that. I really hope Fiverr isn’t behind it, but I’m really losing hope now and my theory may very well be true.
