This one’s shaken and stirred.

Skyfall starts out with James Bond chasing a generic bad guy through an exotic location. Like most, if not all, Bond movies, he ends up killing the bad guy before the bad guy surrenders a juicy Macguffin for Bond to investigate. This leads Bond another globetrotting adventure to another exotic space.

Bond frolics about until he meets a generic female, the femme fatale, who during her course in the film Bond will band and will get killed. The second female character that Bond bangs usually survives.

In this incarnation of Bond, he faces a new enemy named Anton Chigur. The guy has no gripe with Bond until the MI6 agent interferes with his plans. It’s not like Die Hard with a Vengeance. Anton Chigur wants to do something evil, but Bond wants to throw a wrench into it to get another baddie. A handful of action sequences later and Bond has apprehended Chigur and probably stopped some kind of terrorist act.

Bond bangs a Bond girl. The end.
