Then there&#8217;s V for Vendetta, with John Hurt as the President as a inside joke.  Wow.  Goes to show you what kind of secrets are locked away in cinema.  In 1984, people are programmed by media with constant broadcast conditioning to covering up stuff in the newspapers, reporting history as it wasn&#8217;t.  It&#8217;s not even speculative science fiction.
