They are regular watermelons, except they are grown into a square mold so the shape becomes square-ish.<\/p>\n<p>According to the article, Russians were buying them for $700! Now the price has skyrocketed to $860! Who pays that kind of money for watermelon?<\/p>\n<p>Is the novelty worth that much?<\/p>\n<p>What&#8217;s stranger is if they do that for hundreds of thousands of years, the watermelon DNA might actually mutate to start becoming a cube.
