As I learn, flash photography makes you look more masculine because the light is so hot. It creates very deep and sharp shadows. I had to pull them out with Photoshop, but that’s how it’s done. It emphasizes a man’s jawline. LOL. However, it’s hard to keep your eyes open with the flash and look natural. Oh well, Halloween’s coming up. Here’s my Svengali look. LOL.
If you’re using a smart phone’s camera, you have to be wary that because of the size of the camera lens, you’re going to get a lot of distortion. Instagram doesn’t let you fix that.
Before: Auto Warp DistortionAfter: Adjusted in Photoshop CS2
So I had to use a combination of Spherize and Warp tools in Photoshop CS2 to get it looking somewhat like me. I know I’m not that pudgy. The ideal is to match how your eyes see yourself in the mirror.
I know after tinkering with it in Photoshop, it made my forehead longer, but it looks closer to reality at least.
I use both AdSense and Fiverr to make chump change from the Internet. Making money on the Internet is hard work. You put in a lot of hours and get very little or nothing in return. But if you do it just right, some have made a living off the Internet. It took me at least 5 years to begin to generate some traffic and make those beans. And I’m grateful for all the Internet supporters.
But I want to point out why I like Fiverr better than AdSense. Granted, AdSense is good PASSIVE income. It’s not a lot, but it does it’s job. Fiverr, on the other hand, is almost real-time. (more…)
I hate thunderstorms
a prelude to the snow
For neither are guaranteed safe
But a snowstorm doesn’t come with thunder
or lightning for that matter
The chaotic crashing sounds reminds me
of uncertainty, nature, the unknown
That there is no God.
We are surrounded by randomness.
Things we cannot control
Or should want to control.
Because it would make us weak and cowardly
We’ve braved through the storms before
And we survived it. All of them.
And there is light at the end.
And nothing to fear.
And we march on again.
And we continue with our mundane lives.
We task ourselves with goals not supreme.
To keep ourselves occupied from the truth
That eventually the storm will return
And all that security, hopes, and joy fade again
only to remind us how human we are
that we cannot control the storm
